Burgener Contract Carriers

Wages are based on actual miles and stops. All drivers are compensated for actual (not book) miles, all full load stops, LTL (less than load) stops, and oil stops. Work at our terminal and wait-time is paid at an hourly rate of $30 per hour.

Generous home time; typically home daily to 1-2 nights out.

Offer

MILEAGE RATES

Over the Road: (Generally a 600 mile radius) $0.70/actual mile

Oil Delivery: $0.75/actual mile

ACCESSORIAL PAY

Pick ups or Drops: $18 each for full load, $9 each for LTL, $15 each for window LTL, $6 for each oil stop based on number of pieces and pumping.

Wait-time Pay: Paid hourly after one hour allowance for stop pay.

Unloading Pay: Paid hourly (B/L must be signed "Driver Unload" and approved by Dispatch).

Layover Pay: Paid hourly based on hour worked, up to 11 hours (TBD by Dispatch per occurrence).

Cell Phone Reimbursement: $20/Month

HOLIDAY PAY

9 paid holidays per year, paid hourly based on 8 hours per day.

HEALTH INSURANCE

Group health plan available, employer pays 50% of a single premium. Section 125 pre-tax premiums.

A supplemental accident, cancer and critical illness insurance policy is available which includes an employer contribution.

BONUSES

Weekly Safety/Benefit Bonus: $100-125 bonus for no accidents, tickets/warnings, CSA points, or log violations, currently employed – paid monthly.

-Annual safety bonus: Up to 1% of wages 

-Idle bonus: up to $100 bonus- paid monthly

-Employee Referral Bonus: A $1,500 referral bonus will be paid to an employee who refers an applicant hired by the company

-DOT Roadside Inspection: $50 bonus for any DOT roadside inspection recorded with no violations or CSA points.

WEEKENDS

We do not work weekends or holidays; voluntary dispatch is paid an additional bonus to your regular pay.

VACATION PAY

Paid hourly based on 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Vacation time is earned according to the following schedule:

  1. 1 year of employment: 1 week

  2. 2-5 years of employment: 2 weeks

  3. 6-10 years of employment: 3 weeks

  4. Over 10 years of employment: 3 weeks plus 1 day for each added year

RETIREMENT

Employer match up to 3% annually, up to your deferral. Eligible after 1 year.
